Alejandro Garces Camp Tomahawk Park - Jacksonville
8419 San Ardo Road Jacksonville FL 32217 This small, neighborhood park is a gem you'd never know was there. Located at the end of a residential street, the park is deceptively big for its location. The parking lot is small and can fill up on the weekends, but there's plenty of open grass for overflow. A few nice picnic tables are up in the shade of old oaks which sit adjacent to the upper reaches of Goodbys creek. The park does have a small restroom and a water fountain. Two bridge crossings over the creek lead to a good-sized nature trail. The trail has some hard places so wear good shoes and I wouldn't recommend wheelchairs, strollers with small wheels, or those with mobility issues. Still, the walk is not hard and mostly shaded in beautiful mix of hardwood, pine, and palm. Senior Rating : 7 /10 for accessibility, trails are easy but have a few roots and steps Parent Rating : 6 / 10, large outdoor space, nice walking trail, but small playground Doggy Rating : 8 / 10...
